Meet Oscar Harding

SCROLL DOWN

Meet Oscar Harding

Each year, Oscar grows rapeseed on his family farm in Hertfordshire.

In 2012 Oscar saw an opportunity to make something out of the rapeseed that grows on his family's farm, and after some research, discovered the health benefits of rapeseed oil. With half the saturated fats of olive oil, and higher levels of rich omega oils, it's a healthy alternative to other cooking oils made right here in the UK.

It takes a year of hard work to get Duchess from soil to oil, and then it can be bottled and labelled on the farm and sent out to the shops and restaurants that stock it around the area.

Old farm, new tricks

Old farm, new tricks

Farming runs in the family, and it’s that expertise that helps Oscar make Duchess Oil the best it can be.

He believes in British farming, and the importance of knowing where your food comes from. It’s this tradition, combined with modern techniques that helps him make his rapeseed oil without losing any of it’s goodness.
